Gram Sangh Seva members and founder Prasanna have been invited by the Union Government to have discussions on the demands for the revival of ‘Sacred Economy’. This meeting would be chaired by Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Minister of State, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Industries (MSME) and would take place within the 1st week of December itself.
Gram Sangh Seva’s expert committee represented by Dr. Vinod Vyasulu placed the demands to revive the Sacred Economy on to the public domain on Oct 6th, when Gram Sangh Seva founder, Gandhian, theater artist and social activist, Prasanna began his indefinite fast. A Letter outlining the demands of ‘The Sacred Economy’ was sent to Finance Minister;Nirmala Sitaram, Prime Minister; Narendra Modi and CM of Karnataka; Shri BS Yediyurappa Reddy.
On 11th oct, the fifth day of Prasanna’s fast, Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizer Minister, Sadananda gave his word that he would schedule for Gram Sangh Seva to have a meeting with the Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitaram and the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises(MSME) where Gram Sangh Seva members can personally present their demands for the revival of the Sacred Economy.
As a result, Gram Seva Sangh received an invite from Union Government to come over to hold talks on the Sacred Economy.
Note: Only correction in below The Hindu report is, we are not demanding only for Handmade sector, we are demanding for Handmade plus the small sectors (less than forty percent automation) belonging to the automatic machine sector. That is what we defined as Sacred Sectors.
