The satyagraha shall be an introspection and an expression of social intent. Gram Seva Sangh does not have its own demand; but we shall consolidate all the demands of all constructive activists of the country and place it before the people, as also the State.
The Satyagraha shall begin on Sep 26 Thursday with a fashion show for young people, designed by the renowned fashion designer Prasad Bidapa, focusing on sacred fabric. This program will be followed by peaceful protests, oral rendering of the Ramayana, and screening of short films, fund raising on roads, etc., over the next few days.

We will begin fasting from Oct 2. The first three days will see participants take part in relay fasting, while participants from the fourth day will take up indefinite fasting. We have invited social activists from all over the country to take part in the satyagraha.
We invite you to participate in satyagraha programs from 26th Sept to strengthen our collective campaign. You can choose to fast from Oct 2nd and join the Satyagrahi’s showing solidarity individually or representing your organization. Also request you to share among all the likeminded friends and groups.
What is sacred economy?
By sacred economy we mean a system of production which provides maximum employment to people, with the least investment. By least investment we mean both natural and financial. This system will rejuvenate nature and economy.
Today’s system is the opposite of the sacred. It is a monster economy in nature and in size. And it is dying, and is taking thriving eco systems along with it. But instead of reviving nature, governments the world over are using taxpayer’s money to revive the monster. Agriculture is in deep crisis, weavers and artisans are abandoning their professions and the poor are leaving villages in hordes. Yet the government is focussed on feeding only the monster! The Government is bailing out the automobile sector, writing off big debts of bad banks, giving liberal concessions to all the big bad sectors.

The satyagraha intends to bring moral pressure on the people to consume less and consume products of sacred economies. We shall bring a similar moral pressure on all governments to invest public resources, wherever and whenever possible, towards the strengthening of the sacred economy.
